Elevate Strengthens PharmaNL with Innovative Training

Elevate plays an important role as a partner in the PharmaNL program’s Early Drug Discovery Education Track (EDD-track) initiative, which focuses on advancing the discovery and development of new drugs. This initiative aims to advance pharmaceutical research in the Netherlands and enhance its global competitiveness through eight specialised post-HBO/WO courses. Through collaboration with consortium members HAN University of Applied Sciences, Radboud University, and Pivot Park, Elevate is dedicated to developing high-quality educational solutions tailored to the specific needs of the life sciences sector. Our objective is to contribute to training qualified professionals essential for fostering innovation and growth in the pharmaceutical industry.

A well-trained workforce is essential for innovation and growth in the pharmaceutical industry. These training programs not only help develop skilled professionals but also contribute to strengthening the human capital within the sector. Training and continuous development play a key role in this, providing professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to drive further growth and innovation in the pharmaceutical industry.

Elevate connected: Tailored Training for the Pharmaceutical Sector

At Elevate, we take a deep dive into the pharmaceutical sector to understand its unique training needs. Through a thorough GAP analysis, we assess current industry challenges and define clear learning objectives. From there, we work closely with industry experts to create a curriculum that’s not just insightful but also practical and engaging. By incorporating case-based learning and transfer models, we ensure that what’s learned in training actually gets applied in the workplace—making a real impact where it matters most. The course development process ensures that the curriculum meets both industry needs and educational standards. The content is shaped by demand from companies involved in EDD and developed in partnership with Radboud University, HAN University of Applied Sciences, and Pivot Park. This collaborative approach ensures that our training solutions effectively address workforce competencies and align with the evolving requirements of pharmaceutical research and development in the Netherlands.

Innovation in Pharmaceutical Education

Upon completion, the EDD-track will offer a comprehensive curriculum that equips professionals with knowledge and skills in drug discovery. These courses are expected to train 10-20 participants annually per course, totaling approximately 300-500 skilled professionals over the eight-year duration of PharmaNL.

Expected Outcomes: Strengthening Talent in EDD

These courses will help strengthen the talent within Early Drug Discovery (EDD). They’ll make it easier for people switching careers to get up to speed quickly, and for international employees to receive top-notch training. This will improve their skills and make pharmaceutical companies more attractive to potential employees by offering valuable learning opportunities.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Impact and Educational Offerings in Life Sciences

Looking ahead, Elevate envisions continued collaboration beyond the EDD-track initiative. This includes expanding our educational offerings and dynamically responding to evolving industry needs. Through strategic partnerships, we aim to make a lasting impact on the Dutch Life Sciences sector by continuously adapting and enhancing educational programs. Once developed, these courses will be integrated into the lifelong learning offerings of HAN (4 post-HBO courses) and Radboud Academy (4 post-WO courses), ensuring accessibility for professionals across the globe. Additionally, we are committed to expanding these course offerings based on industry demand, thereby enriching the educational landscape in the Life Sciences sector.
